They presented those items before the king, and looking at those items the king was very happy. Also, he ordered the artisans to stay and teach the skills of crafting Handicrafts.

This is how Rajasthani Handicrafts came into being. Initially, there were only a few artisans who joined in and learned the skills of crafting Handicrafts. Slowly and gradually as Rajasthani Handicrafts started becoming famous people started to join and learn those skills. At present, Rajasthan is home to around 6 lakh artisans that live in different parts of the country.
